HONG KONG DRUM ACADEMY SUMMER DRUM CAMP 2024

For ages 6-17

5-Day Summer Drum Camp (2.5hrs/Day)

Get started playing the drums in just 5 days! Students will learn the foundations of playing the drumset, PLUS have a lot of fun doing so! Here's what you'll get access to:

  • 5 days of drumming with a small group of new friends

  • Your very own “Intro to Drums” notes

  • A Rockstar photoshoot

  • Learning how to play a song from top to bottom

  • Explore different genres of music (Rock, Pop, Funk, Jazz, and more!)

  • Learn about a variety of bands - like Nirvana, Green Day, Queen, AC/DC, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more!

  • Drum Cover Session, where you’ll get to experience rocking out and performing in front of a camera and fellow campers!

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Jaedyn Yu

Program Director & Founder of Hong Kong Drum Academy

Jaedyn Yu has over a decade of teaching experience with over 300 drum students. She graduated from UCLA and studied from the best drummers in the world like Juan Carlito Mendoza (Guitar Center Drumoff Champion 2012), Glen Crosby (Santa Clara Vanguard Drum Coach), Wojtek Deregowski, Nathan Eby (Los Angeles Philharmonic and UCLA Drumline), and Mitchell Peters (UCLA).

In addition to teaching, Jaedyn also performed in the best venues across the world including the Hollywood Bowl, Disney Concert Hall, and Clockenflap (Hong Kong’s largest music festival). She had collaborated with international artists such as SISTAR, G.na, and U-KISS and toured in the United States, Africa, Mainland China, Thailand, Japan, and other Asian countries and is now actively promoting quality drum education in Hong Kong and across the world.
